Let's see if we can inject some life into the non-sports section.
So, as the title says. I'll go first--
I was working on a master set of the Rittenhouse Iron Man release for maybe a year. I had the Downey auto, the Potts costume sp (I think it was the bustier?), most of thr tougher cards to aquire. There were maybe a dozen cards I needed for everything, along with the annoying binder.
I had purchased the Downey auto for something like $125, a steal even at the time. About 6-months into the set building, someone came in and offered me $250 for it. I couldn't say no, since it doubled what I paid for it. Them someone came and offered me more for the bustier card, then the Stane tie card.
From there I broke up the set to be available to anyone else who was building it.
But I wish I would have kept that Downey Jr auto! I've had a lot of cards pass through my hands, but that is really the only one I have regretted selling off.
Anyone else?
