Well, you knew it was coming, and I cant take it anymore.

You all know how terrible Carmelo is this year, how overrated and hyped up he was last year. How hes a low-caliber player designated to take an incredible amount of shots to post good numbers overall.

Tonight vs the Trailblazers Carmelo is 0-6. His FG total as of lately has been around 5 or 6 out of 20-25 total shots. Wow what an amazing star he is. Not to mention he misses wide open shots, and misses unnecessary fadeaways and such.

This whole rant of mine is based on EVERYONE who give Carmelo excuses for his bad play. Oh he isnt agressive enough, he isnt emotionally in the game....WRONGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE ****S.....PERIOD!!!!! Im sick of people giving this little kid the easy way out, he doesnt deserve it, he didnt deserve co-ROY last year, and he will only progressively become more and more of a dissapointment to any of his fas as the years go on as long as hes kept in this league.

This is all not to mention Carmelos cocky attitude, which I will admit was given to him by the media, but if I could meet him face to face I would not be one bit scared to tell him like it is.

Anyone who has a rebuttle please post it, but there is no explainations. Carmelo Anthony is an overrated player, IMO does not deserve to be starting on ANY team, barely even a bench player. He was good in college....but TONS of players dominate in college then cant make the changeover to the NBA.

Im done, ill be adding to this as Carmelo pisses me off more and more!

I couldn't agree with you more Paul

Anyone wanna trade for my Melo Bowman Gold Refractor 50/50? :p

cmon man, melo is averaging like 20-6-3 this season, he's just hit a bad stretch, it happens to every good player. barely a bench player...dude thats blasphemy.

6 Rebounds is nothing to be proud of, nor is 3 assists......and hes constantly put in situations because he is the supposed "star" of the team.

His numbers are inflated....he misses clutch shots, takes bad shots, turns the ball over very frequently and is a ball hog. His stretch has been this whole season so far. Just think if andre miller or earl boykins took all his shots, would they have a better FG % and be more of a help to the team????? YES!

i agree with enlithenment.... he has hit a bad strtch, last year he was a great player for his team.... and he is only like 21 so he still has time to improve his FG%, and barley a bench player???? I dont thinkany bech player could start a game and average 20,6,3. maybe only a couple bench players can. He still has time to get better. oh yeah and the stuff about darko... he ****s he doesnt even play... he may get better but it wont happen till he gets traded.

Thats my whole point. Last year he was hyped up, he played better than his ability, he had fans and media backing him. He was put into the star position, given the ball PLENTY of times.

But now, his sophomore year, his true colors are showing, theres no way hes a consistant 22ppg player, well maybe if he takes iverson-like amounts of shots, then yes, which is exactly whats happening this year. And hes teams not winning either. But if you look at andre miller or earl boykins' numbers you will see how extremely idiotic the coaching staff is. Why would you consistantly give the ball to a player who shoots 5-25, when you have guys shooting 75% from the field?

Doesnt make sense, never well, theres no explaination

they won three of four with Karl
I'm not a fan of Carmelo at all but thats a bit harsh, I'm sure he will get it straightened out and be a good NBA player.
Guys have bad nights Rip Hamilton has an 0-10 this year. Easy or your going to hurt something

They don't call it the "sophomore slump" for nothing paul ;) Last year he had a different (and arguably better) cast around him, and this year, save for Boykins, Denver seems to be a sea of underperformance, which tends to beget itself :p Gotta think Karl is gonna whip them into shape pretty soon...

I agree in some aspects with Paul that Carmelo's stats are inflated due to reasons previously stated. He is a mediocre player who should definately be a starter, but should not be the star of a team.

And for all those people who think Milicic was a huge mistake by the Pistons, you need to wait until he gets the playing time, to make your conclusions.

Carmelo is young and still averaging 20, 6, 4 for his career. You can build a team around him, give him time to work on his jumper and he'll be force in the league. What'd dirk do his first two year?? I promise his second year in the league there was NO talk of building a team around him, but now it looks pretty smart.

Name me players who dominated, won national championships in college, with an overall weak supporting cast that haven't done anything in the NBA.

Laettner had a very good suporting cast at Duke, and Manning is one player in the last 20 years.

Miles Simon.
lol I know he had an amazing supporting cast but I just HAD to mention him.

Give the young player some time and patience and give him a break. All players have had a bad stretch but recovered and bounced back. Yeah as mentioned above I saw that game where Rip Hamilton did not score. Give him a few seasons yet. He is still young.

Laetnner had Bobby Hurley...great supporting cast.

Thanks
Dan Wise Old Man

He also had Grant Hill. But, thats besides the point. Carmelo had a good supporting cast as well though. Hakim Warrick and McNamara are both decent players.
