Case of 21-22 OPC

Pretty cheap on D&A and got a bonus at work, so had to buy a little something. Hadn't bought boxes since 20-21 so had to catch up eventually on the past few anyway. Only the second case I've ever broken, if you count 13-14 National Treasures which was like 20 cards.

Impressed by collation, which makes sense for a sealed case
- 3 full base sets, very close to a 4th
- Full SP set, only 11 cards from a 2nd. No trips
- Tallboys - missing P12 Huberdeau and 7 SPs, lots of dupes
- Playing cards - missing 4H, 2 Jacks, 2 Kings, 2 Aces
- No dupes in retros, red, blues, greens, blacks

Can't complain about Sid.

Kids liked the jokers.

First plates I remember pulling myself. Probably not, who knows.

Might have more variations, but these were the immediately obvious.

Oh yeah, a couple more variations, with some friends of the numbered variety. Definitely had some McDavid luck. I think it was box four where it went Ovi B&W, Vasi Red, Ovi Green in the first three packs.

Also pulled a Newhook Platinum RC for the Avs collection, a couple Blues and a Red. So that was nice.

I was at a Jets/ Avalanche game November 29, 2022 that the Jets ended up winning 5-0... At one point during the night, the fans were yelling:

"Pull your Georgie"...

I was kind of hoping they'd go there again last night. lol

Nope, broke this well before that garbage game over the course of a few nights and mornings while the kids couldn't mess it up. Just took awhile to sort and document.

We definitely had some Georgie chants, but only in the good way for the rest of the series. Fun times. One day I'll see some positive handshakes at home again. We only ever win series on the road anymore.

Tough breaks for Hellebuck. You can't spell Vezina without the Roman numeral for five... :banana: Too soon? Val and Artturi seem to like the number 5, scoring in every game.

What a difference a week and a few days makes

To be fair our offense is sick, I think some of us Avs fans took the team coasting once we made the playoffs too literally proud of the team. The domination in this series made me a :stanley: believer
