Do you guys in the US have any advice for my issue?

I am trying to cash a CDN International Money Order in the US and my bank (as well as others) charge a $30 fee for these types of Money Orders. Is there any way to get around (or at least reduce) the fee?

Cheers,
Darin

I get a kick out of this because the payments are cleared through an outfit in Colorado that more often than not and is usually the same outfits that the banks in the States use for their International Money Orders.

I don't know if there's ways around it - other than finding a bank that won't gouge you for cashing money orders.

Darin,

Try asking the local Credit Unions to see which ones do not charge fees. Most CU's are relatively easy to join.
