One I can't be happier about. 4th anniversary of being married to my wonderful loving wife. :dance:


But won't go on too long about that since this is a hobby board.

Today is also the second year anniversary for my outstanding redemption from Upper Deck.

I have 2 07/08 SPGU Iginla NumberMark redemptions that have now been outstanding for 2 years (for one of them, and a little over 2 years for the other).

I am also only 2 months shy of hitting my third year anniversary on my 06/07 Gretzky Lettermarks... :|

Its amazing that they still have not auto-replaced these cards like they did with most other long term redemptions... Total BV on these cards is $900 so they are not low end cards either.....

Send those to the NHL or NHLPA and ask why the wait is so long??? Be interesting to hear their reply, but don't hold your breath..

cuz the players aren't returning the cards. we all know UD has no problem shooting thousands of cards out for players to sign.

Not the issue with these cards I have unfortunately. This is all Upper Deck. None of the redemptions for LetterMarks or Numbermarks have ever been made. Upper Deck claimed a long time ago that they were waiting on ALL of the players to return the cards before manufacturing them but obviously that didn't work out very well.

Besides that, when's the last time you haven't see Iginla or Gretzky return their autos?
 
I think Hejduk is in that field too with the missing letter marks. I know they were all redemptions, but I have not seen too many of them.
 
First of all...nice to run across your post on the Board and congrats on the real important item: your fourth wedding anniversary...here's hoping for at least 40 more!

As for redemptions...I've indicated elsewhere and several times that I'm still waiting for four 05/06 Cup Whitney RC's. However my dealer was recently told that UD sent Whitney the cards to sign and he lost them. UD then manufactured a second batch and again sent them to Whitney and (you guessed it) he lost them AGAIN (sigh). So UD is naturally somewhat reluctant to try a third time. Now that Whitney's been traded to my home town and my dealer is volunteering to personally oversee the signing, I'm now waiting to see if UD will try a third and final time but they'll once again have to make another batch of cards. I'm hoping it'll happen so I can complete my sets...
 
I have 14 Guillaume Latendresse Letter Marks pending from 06-07 SPGU, the first of which will break the 3 year mark on April 2. I also have a dual auto shield from 06-07 the cup, which will be at 3 years in September or so.
I recently emailed Chris Carlin about them, and his reply was basically that they are not a priority, and I shouldn't expect anything any time soon. I'll post his actual reply here tonight.

I have stated that I haven't seen a redemption fulfilled for either 06/07 and/or 07/08 Letter/Number/Team/Nickname marks from either of these two seasons. Has anyone seen any or am I correct in stating that none were made.
 
I just had UD issue a replacement for a Josh Gorges auto /50 that I had filed the redemption for two years ago (Feb '08). I asked for a Leafs player (shocker), and got a 2005-06 SPGU Heritage Classic Tiger Williams auto/jersey which books at $25. Meh. Better than a Habs autograph at least. :devil:

I would hope you would get something substantially better if you were to try and get yours replaced.

its a shame that someone would have to wait that long for a card, it almost seems like that the ud company dont care anymoe. mind u not that they cared in the first place. it seems like once u baught their product and they got their cut of the profit they quickley forget about who it was who put that money in their pocket.
