Signed with Sugar Land Skeeters and is suppose to start on Saturday. His pitch was clocked at 87 MPH the other day. Astros minor league coach was at practice watching him pitch. They said if the Astros weren't interested, it would be odd for the minor league coach to be at practice. Ken Rosenthal said if he signs with the Astros(or any MLB) team, he would be pushed back another 5 years to be on the ballot for the Hall of Fame. He also felt that Clemens might make a comeback to get all the steroid talk out of everyone's mind.

They'll never get the steroid talk out of people's minds. He juiced and got away with it, except in the court of public opinion. His career is tainted and he shouldn't even BE on the ballot for the HOF, especially if Rose isn't.

Steriods or not Clemens is the man. One of the greats and the best of his era.

I'd say the odds are pretty thin that he'll pitch in the majors again.

Clemens is an ego maniac, who is trying to get some of the steroid taint off of him. It will be interesting to see how this goes for him at the age of 50, but he's no Nolan Ryan.
