Interesting to listen to. I think the best part for me was the end of the interview when he mentions Detroit and Columbus having to be in the western conference. I can only hope for the day Detroit stops getting screwed by having to travel to the west coast in the playoffs.

It blows for any upper mid-west team that has to play on the west coast, Chicago and Columbus are pretty much in the same boat. I am all for re-alignment of the divisions, Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, Toronto, Ottawa make up an Eastern Division? Only problem is, who do you add to the west to balance out the number of teams?

Pretty soon Phoenix will be moving as well. If they go to Winnipeg, it won't be so bad. However, what will happen if they go to Eastern Ontario or Quebec???

I wonder if it would be more fair to go to a 1 through 16 seeding with both the east and west in it. That way everyone would have the same chance of going out west than everyone else. Just a suggestion so don't flame me people..

I'd love this format. We would see so many different matchups each year.

I would love it. It would lower your chances of getting a back to back west coast opponent also.

Nah. Then the Eastern Conference media/fans would complain that the western teams have an advantage becuase they are used to traveling more...
