"We want to stress test the new search infrastructure, so please try it out. As an incentive, we are allowing sellers to run FREE Sale promotions for the next week, and we are also offering free shipping on orders of 20 or more items. Shipment requests must be submitted by midnight PST Wednesday, July 23rd"

Great way to pick up your set fillers and player/team checklist needs at low prices AND FREE SHIPPING for the next 7 days.

Shameless plug - I have 17,000+ low end singles that I sell ~ 75% off. This week they are all an additional 20% off.
My port is at http://www.comc.com/Users/basezloaded,tn

If you prefer to trade, PM me your interests and we can work something out that way as well. Thanks!

Moved this to Hobby Talk to gain more visibility.

I'll be picking up a few more cards to reach 20 and take advantage of the free shipping too.

Also, will be setting up a sale lowering the already low prices of cards in my COMC port. Check it out, link in my sig.

Great news!
But honestly their standard shipping is at $3 is like nothing....so not much then.
COMC is a really fantastic site because you don't need to worrying about insane shipping rates then like on ebay as example.

The best part is, due to the free shipping offerings a lot of sellers slashed there prices. A lot of cards on there 25% off or more. I just picked up three super rare cards that were a total of $50 off the original prices.

Nice. I've already had $70 in sales or so and that's helping me grab a couple other things. It cracks me up how many people just buy without trying to offer, but I'm not complaining.

It's kind of a pain, you have to buy store credit right? If I offered $80 on a $100 item and the card sells to someone else (because those are the good deals I hunt I expect them to sell quickly), I can't get the $80 back correct? Or can I? I wasn't too sure how that worked. All cards I bought the last week literally sell for double what I paid for on COMC so I didn't want to put an offer through and then deal with the anxiety of waiting to see it gets accepted LOL :comp:

If the buyer declines your offer or the card sells to someone else the money goes back in your account. I also tend to make offers on regular price (unless its something rare) and on sale items I just pay the price as they are already at a reduced rate. That's my usual, it does change depending on item and price!

Ohhh that's good to know.

Yea, considering I usually buy rare 90's cards, most of my purchases there are cards that haven't surfaced in a long time for cheap prices. So buying ASAP on those works best for me. It really is a cool site. I hope they finish the catalog soon. That's the only down side, a lot of stuff I search doesn't come up because it's not entered. So for example when I was finishing my z-team set I had to enter 1995-96 zenith instead of z-team. I think that's how I found a few very rare cards for real cheap, they weren't showing up in search engines. Guest a guess though.

Thanks for this thread - I got a few things for my Zenith and Elite projects today, including some from cardsrus1 (I think, lol)!

I find the COMC checkout mechanism a little non-intuitive, so I have just gotten into the habit of making an "offer" for everything, but I make the offer at the full price if I am happy with it or just buying one card from a certain seller and I'll make other offers to fit whatever $$ I have leftover, then request shipment when all the smoke clears.

Note to sellers: One seller was not accepting offers and the total I wanted to buy from him was literally a few cents over my remaining balance, so I ended up skipping him entirely and going with a mixture of other sellers' cards. He would have gotten the sale if he had just set it up to accept offers above a certain % (or however COMC lets you do it to cut out the lowballers). Just a hint.

gobuffalo2331, in addition to your money being returned to your account if your offer is refused, you can also request to "cash out" with no fee if it has been less than 30 days since you deposited.

http://www.comc.com/cashout.aspx

"Buyers Note: Buyers can receive a 100% refund of their store credit if a cash-out request is made within 30 days of purchasing store credit."

So, it looks like you can put in whatever you need to cover anticipated purchases (e.g. $100) and get a refund on whatever you don't spend or if offers are rejected, etc. I've never done it, but it looks pretty simple.

The 20 cards for free shipping, can it be your own cards? There are a couple cards that I want to have shipped back to me.

Put my port at 50% off too. Got a bunch of sales. The no fee sales and the free shipping seems to get a bit more action on the site. I like it a lot. Thinking about taking advantage of the other promo of an 11" box for $77.
