I'm looking at picking up a couple vintage singles I need to kill some sets. I've picked up a couple cards on COMC but nothing vintage before. One thing I noticed...some of the descriptions say "Good to VG-EX". Is that something that COMC adds or the seller? Anything to be wary of?

The staff at comc will often add a note on condition issues with cards on their site, as far as I know there is no way for a seller to personally add any info other than reporting errors in the listing with player name/set/team etc and comc will adjust as needed.

Thanks! I'm assuming if there is no condition disclaimer that they are higher grade than those with one (in COMC's opinion). I thought it was weird since some of the cards without the disclaimer were cheaper.

I figured this thread would be sufficient, so no need to start a new one. Does anyone know if you can make an offer on an item or are prices non negotiable at COMC.

Thanks.

You can certainly make offers. Once you click on a card, you are given the option to "Add to Cart", "Buy Now", or "Make Offer"

That's true - but for clarity - it's true IF you are logged in and IF you have funds in your account.

Yeah..... if I'm selling a card for $50, and you want to offer $40.... you have to have the $40 in your account, and it will deduct that cash from your account when you send the offer through. You'll get it back if I decline or counter.

The other thing, you can't just make any offer. Sellers set a threshold (i.e. 60% of asking price, minimum $5) that you can offer.

I forget off hand what percentage I'll accept is.... but the min offer is $5.... so if I've got a card that I'm asking $1 for, you can't make offers on it. If you want 6 of my $1 cards, you could offer $5 though... stuff like that.
