probably a photoshoot jersey with "Vancouver Canucks" nameplate. Take a look at Halak's Cup patch with what looks like an O followed probably by an N.

credit to ronjon for the scan

Burner the curious part to me isn't the lettering as much as the white lettering on the white/green background. That does not occur on any Canucks jerseys that I have researched.

Maybe they stitched the letters on the hem stripes.

You can tell by the stitching on your card that it's a pretty crappy stitch job and not something you'd find on a professional jersey

UD has a history of removing patches from jerseys, so they can use the jersey underneath for jersey cards. Perhaps they did that with the letter in question, then stitched the letter back onto a jersey in a random spot to produce a patch for this card.

I know it has happened before.

If you contacted upper deck would they not be able to give you some insight as to how some of these "different" looking patches come about or why some GU jerseys show up with weird colours that dont match any team the depicted player has ever played for?

Maybe try returning it to say "hey you authenticated this but IT IS NOT AUTHENTIC??"

man....i have been looking at this for 2 days now, I think the guys are right, could be some strange stitching job, I have NO clue what it is, but I do like it
