Cool find

I was reading a few comic related threads online and I can across one about older Whitman comics. I love the old Whitman stuff and I must admit that I have a fair amount of it. While reading I discovered that I actual own a couple of the rarest copies. I have a Popeye 158 which it is said that there are only between 25-50 copies available. I also have a nice Battle of the Planets #7 which also comes in the top ten rarest Whitman's available. Pretty cool for something I thought to be a common comic.

Not the best condition, however the staples are tight and rust free and the interior pages are white. A solid book except for the minor cover creases.

Anyone else out there ever discover that they have a rare or valuable comic that they never knew they had or didn't realize its value?

Whitman are the ones that were around when I was a kid - I have a fair number of the Disney titles from their offerings. Since they were readers for me as a kid, my kids now enjoy them. Yeah, they're not retaining any collectible value, but I know they enjoy them as much as I did.
