Can't wait for it to start--I gotta say the fans have some verrrrry high expectations about all the mysteries and unanswered questions. It should be a very full season with a lot going on.

Well there is obvious Last Supper look and feel to the pic, so I guess there are some parallels to draw there.
And it's not much, but (highlight below...):

Claire was never really dead on the show, she just sort of disappeared from the majority from last season. I don't know if she had other commitments or what. Juliet supposedly did die in the finale. Plus she has V now. Desmond will be back, so his absence in the pic doesn't mean much.
Supposedly the bomb in the finale sort of "reset" certain events so we see, for example, Dr. Arzt again. And I believe the opener is supposed to take place on a "corrected" Flight 815.
Or something.

Overall I think we'll see some old characters back for an episode or two. Even people that have roles on other shows. This means probably Charlie and Boone, for example. I'd wager a big no on Juliet since she wasn't an original Oceanic person, but I have nothing to back that up.
