Sorry for the lame title! The Friday morning of the Toronto Expo was also the release of a ton of new cards on Dr. Price's President's Choice website. I had to limit myself since the budget ain't what it used to be (I'm looking at you Cheevers buckle! In the end I went with two cards, hoping that I'll be able to add more in the future, although a lot of those I was interested in are already gone!
First up is from the Hall of Fame subset. I have been collecting Paul Kariya since I came back to collecting around 2009. In the last couple years though, my interest has been slowly declining, and I started to sell a big chunk of my collection. He stays one of my favorite players of all time though, so I was really happy when he got the nod to enter the Hall of Fame. So when Dr. Price announced that the 2017 promotion of Hall of Famers would get cards from that set, I simply couldn't resist :
The second card was an easy choice. I've been collecting Habs vintage memorabilia for a while, and I've been trying to add autographs when I can. I've been wanting a George Hainsworth autograph for the longest time, and when I saw the email presenting the Best In Net set with this card in it, I knew I'd have to act fast. So there it is :
That's it for today! Thank you Dr. Price for creating such great pieces of history for us. I hope I'll be able to add many more in the future!
