I think that because they were doing so well prior to the all-star game...and then just completely fell apart, he got canned. If You told any stars fan that they would have a chance at the playoffs on the last game of the regular season... you would be offering him a contract extension. I havent really watched any games since the all-star break...so not sure what exactly went wrong. From the one game that i did see, Lehtonen looked awful!

i actually thought the Stars overachieved for much of the year. they are going to lose Richards most likely and will struggle to make the playoffs next year.
i'm not a huge fan of Crawford as a coach so i understand the move. the team is going to get younger and i imagine they will bring in a young coach to grow the team post-Richards.

He is not the most well liked guy, couldnt stand him in vancouver, but hes not that bad of a hockey coach. The biggest weakness on that team in my opinion was Lehtonen. The guy has been over rated since the first time he stepped on the ice in atlanta, and I cant believe the stars thought he was the answer. The guy might be nice backup, but he is not a top notch starter in my opinion.
