Bet he never imagined when he signed the QMJHL contract that there would be no hockey draft to free him up BEFORE his contractural obligations were up -LOL!!
Now we will get to see - how he reacts at the beginning of next year (if there is no hockey still):
takes it like a normal adult and does not raise a fuss...
or
acts like another spoiled athelte and demands his release to the AHL or somewhere else????

That's really too bad, not just for Crosby, but for all the other guys who would be eligible to leave, and all the young guys who would be looking for places to play. It will be interesting to see how Crosby deals with it, since his agents haven't made a secret of wanting him somewhere else.

I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to go to Europe to play. I'm sure the AK Bars would sign him to a contract regardless of the situation with the Q.

Maybe Crosby will suit up for Team Canada in Vancouver then
