Cubs trade for two young Pitchers

I have a sneaky suspicion something is wrong with Williams. Time shall tell. As for Aardsama, good luck.

Thanks
Dan

The way I see it, they probably could have gotten more for this 2-some no doubt. But when you look at Williams as the 3rd best in the minors, behind Foppert and Cain, and Aardsma as an older prospect in double A who isn't exactly tearing it up, good trade for both sides. Giants hopefully get a guy to pitch the 8th, Cubs get a broke-down Williams and potential, if you say so on Aardsma.

Like I said above, I have a reason to think something is wrong with Williams. Remember when we dumped Ainsworth to the Orioles, kid never pitched again, and is now retired. Time shall tell.

Thanks
Dan

Good trade for the Cubs getting a couple of young pitchers for a setup reliever that was doing poorly for the Cubs. Williams, if he can stay away from junk food, can be a good complement to the Cubs starters, and Aardsma, once he has master other pitches besides the fastball, can be a closer down the line. The Giants get a badly needed setup guy for the 8th inning.

who said anything about the Brewers??

The Giants are supposed to be competing for a playoff spot and are playing terrible and made a terrible trade.

Who called that the Giants weren't going to do any good because they have a lot of older players on their team? Oh right that was me ;) :p
