Hi guys,

Saw this on Upper Deck website and I think it's pretty neat (the guy got it done in BC), do you guys know anywhere in Edmonton or Calgary I can get it done with a reasonable price? Thanks in advance! :)

There is a place in Edson AB that does sick frame jobs. You would have to gooooogle it though :/

I want to try the local guys first, Edson is just too far away.

Hey Patrick. Call these guys:

They did a custom frame job for my 70 card (just to give you an example of now complex a job they can handle) memorabilia set and it turned out wonderful. Excellent frame work imo.

Thanks Roy, I will give it a try! :)

looks fantastic! Would you mind sharing the cost of a project like that?

Thanks,
Greg

Thanks Greg :)

To be honest at the time I was working for Lifetouch Photography so we had every single frame job sent to them. I'm sure they gave me a decent deal. I paid $280 for that job. Pretty cheap too.

Just got a reply back from Nancy (expressionsandimages.com):

Hi Patrick,
I am guessing the card are 3 x 5 & the logo patch would be 5 x 7. Total size would be about 51" x 11".
For that you would be looking at about $139.00. If you would like to bring everything in I would be happy to see what suggestions we can come up with for you. We are here Tue - Fri 9 - 5, Sat 9 - 4 and closed Sunday & Monday.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Nancy

I think the price is very reasonable as I talked to two other companies and they quoted me around $400~$500...

Thanks Roy, I think I will go for a visit soon! :)

Maybe you don't need another option in Edmonton, but I used "Colours Art & Framing" some years ago to frame a set of Erik Christensen rookie year cards (gift for his family) and I was extremely pleased with the job they did.

You'll find them here:

Here's a scan of what they did for me and I was particularly impressed when they had each card opening laser cut for 100% accuracy:

Has anybody ever tried Michael's for framing? I see the coupons in the flyer every week and I keep thinking I should give it a try but not sure what I want or much about framing in general

Michaels is super expensive. Even with coupons. My brothers girlfriend had my nephews baseball uniform framed they charged her like $900, thats after coupon. They used one of their off the rack cases and just pinned the stuff to the back. I could have done just as good a job and wouldnt have charged them.

I did some of my own stuff cause, well I was bored and wanted to see if I could do it. Turned out not bad for an amateur. Nothing like what has been displayed in this thread so far tho (really nice stuff). Just some pictures, jersey numbers and I did a leafs jersey for my brother. Like I said, not bad for an amateur. Turned out to be a little side hobby.

That's neat!! Can you recall how much roughly you paid for it at that time? Thx.
