Oh **** son...the return of bad titles.
If you're also looking for like...title characters and big name autos, you're out of luck. You'll see early on I go jobber on nonsports' ***.
A half dozen autos for the non-sport collection this week. Some on a whim from Bebop's Razor Ink boxes...and a couple through the mail.
First up, 2 autographs from Jon's Razor Ink Box Breaks...one from a pretty infrequently seen Inkworks set, and another with lots of autos. I watch a looooot of TV (though very few of the sets Inkworks put out over the years,) so seeing autos like this of folks from other shows are always cool. Case in point with the Neil Flynn.
TV's Coolest: Barry Williams as Greg Brady
Smallville: Neil Flynn (aka the Janitor from Scrubs) as Peter Dinsmore
Flynn's not available...Williams MAY be depending on how much out of my wantlist you have.
Now...from another show I never watched comes one of my favorite ****ed up movie directors. I'm not a big sci-fi fan, but his films are always intriguing as hell to watch. From the infamous 1996 film Crash to A History of Violence, I try not to miss any of his newer releases...so again, imagine my surprise when I saw he had a certified auto that I could get for under $20.
Alias: David Cronenberg as who the hell cares...it's David Cronenberg!
Next up...an addition to my Canadian Show PC. I'm working on a PC of certified autos of folks from Canadian shows I watch now, or watched when I was younger. This one comes from my childhood. I don't know if anybody remembers the CBC Mid-Afternoon block, but leading into the Raccoons was a weird show called Danger Bay, showcasing the EXTREME LIFE OF A MARINE BIOLOGIST WORKING FOR THE VANCOUVER AQUARIUM. It was only slightly more entertaining than it sounds. Nevertheless, this is another example of "You never know who the hell has an autograph in nonsports." I decided to do a keyword search for some of the stars of Danger Bay, and found out 2 of the cast members have certified autos. I'll work on getting Ocean Hellman later (I believe she played Nicole) but till then, here's the patriarch of the show auto'd from another show I didn't give a crap about:
Donnelly Rhodes as not a marine biologist on Dead Zone
Very cool...you know, to me anyway.
...and now I have the Danger Bay theme song stuck in my head.
Ok lastly are the last card from Jon's box break that I nabbed off him, and the one autograph that made me head into nonsports. This is the shredding part of my mailday. First up...the man who played Shredder in Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze
Francois Chau who has too many damn aliases on Lost. Let's just call him Doctor Chau and laugh at Dr. Chow from the Hangover.
and the first second and third star...who needs no introduction, but if you need a supreme court judge, you know who to vote for...
Charmed: James Avery as some robed dude.
Just in case nobody realized by now...I'm a huge James Avery fan. Dude was gold in the 90s from Uncle Phil to the original Shredder on the TMNT cartoon. It almost makes me want to watch the episodes of Charmed he was in...ALMOST.
Thanks for the peek. Not much coming in this week that I can think of, so I'll save you from my jobber non-sports maildays.
