lol I wish we could look in the future and see what Miles will have realised in his career. I'm sure a bonehead like RodneyWhite5, who obviously kicks on underachieving overrated players, will agree THEN that Miles was a complete bust throughout his career. There's a reason why people who appreciate good basketball don't watch the Blazers. I mean, not too long ago Stoudamire set an NBA record for 3-pt attemps. What was it, 21? He hit maybe 5. That's no NBA bkb, that's GARBAGE.

If all the Blazers want is a guy who can shoot an 18-footer every now and then they should've signed Steve Smith, Wesley Person or some other old guy instead of wasting millions on Miles who will lead them nowhere except the lottery.
If he's no all-star, not the best player on his team, not even in the top 50.. err.. 100 and doesn't even have 3 point range, WHAT THE HELL IS HE????
QUOTE]

Honestly man, you are a fool. You have no compelling points whatsoever, and it's obvious that you haven't seen any Blazers games this year, and if you have it's been very few. If you haven't seen him play, then you don't know what you are talking, so why even bother trying to debate, when it's something that is outside of your knowledge. So if your not in the top 50, or top 100 for that matter, you ****? you're garbage? You're a bust? You can't contribute to an nba team, there's 300+ players in the NBA right now, and you're saying that if you aren't in the top third, you're garbage? He's 23, and has admitted his wrongs, and said he is going to do his best to turn around his career, and become a team oriented player. I know lots of players have said that, will it happen, only time can tell. And only time can tell how good a player he will develop into. But when the Blazers give him 30+minutes it usually translate into a stat-line of about 18pt-7rbs-2ast-2blks-2stls. And you're telling me that most teams wouldn't want that, and that's not even indicative of his defensive abilities, and the versatility of his offensive game to pull up, or drive right past you. Early in the season against the Spurs, I watched Miles tear apart Bruce Bowen(arguably the best defender in the league), Tim Duncan, and Robert Horry, possession after possession for the third quarter. If you're smaller then him he can pull up over to the top of you, and if you're bigger he can pull you out and drive past you. But I guess you wouldn't know any of this, because you haven't actually seen him play this year. Of course you're only comeback to an intelligent reponse, is that he's a bust, he was supposed to save the Clippers for the cellar. Boo-Hoo, the past is the past, he's 23 and has a brighter future then most.

A lot more was expected of Miles than he's given any team..PERIOD. He's already bounced around to three teams and threatened to beat up Maurice Cheeks this year...

So that's his fault, that the expectations were to high, that everyone expected him to step in and dominant the league, it's his fault that people expected too much out of him. He's bounced around to three teams, how many players do-so in modern day basketball, you're hard pressed to 5% of the league that has been with one team their entire career, and it's not like he's ever demanded a trade, it's just the way the league goes. And he never threated to beat up Cheeks, told him he wants to see him get fired.

I'm glad at least someone knows what he's talking about. =)

Q.Rich- Yeah and I'm 100% sure Fisher is a better player than Richardson will ever be. That was really mature..

Also, if you don't like what I type, simply put me in your ignore list or whatever. =) Or simply don't reply.

Casket, your argument is always one dimensional. You are never open-minded and never look into anyone else's perspective. And it annoys probably everyone.
Actually, I find it humorous when Casket fights against the entire board ;) but I do have to agree with him on this one, Miles was extremely overrated as a rookie and he is paid way to much for a bench warmer. Also to all you blazers fans out there, I have a question. Why the heck doesnt Sebastian Telfair play more? Does he even start? What do they have to lose… Its better than playing Stoudemire, 5 for 21 from 3, ouch ): come on when your not hot just don’t shoot . A veteran like him should know that.

First off, how is it "immature" to say a player is better than another player? Secondly, are you kidding me?

My question is, why do so many people try and debate, when they have no clue what they are talking about. Telfair started for the Blazers for the past month and a half or so. He played around 30 minutes a game. Do you actually follow basketball or just like to drool at the cards. Why make a post if you don't have a clue what you are talking about. And ask any shooter in the game, and any coach, even if you miss ten in a row you will keep shooting because you believe they will start going in, and it's a matter of time before they drop, it just didn't happen on that night, but they were playing the warriors(who now have a pretty potent offensive attack with the arrival of B.Davis), so he felt the need to shoot to try and keep them close, they didn't but they wouldn't have been any closer had he not been shooting anyways, so why not. Do you people even follow basketball?

That pretty much sums up your whole argument, you have no clue what you are talking about, you just run your gums about nonsense when you have no clue what you are talking about. I don't try and talk sports on a topic that I'm not knowledge on, I'm not going to talk about the flaws or strong points about a player I haven't been able to see numerous times, because it doesn't contribute to a debate. If you're going to try and discuss then you should atleast have a decent grasp on the subject, otherwise you look like a fool, Casket;)

So you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can have a voice, that makes about as much sense as everything else you have mentioned in this thread. And this is a new account, Magnum P.I.

Well I only follow the Pistons and the east. I cold care less about the west teams, especially a team like the trailblazers. And I think most players would know to stop taking 3's if they missed that many. Maybe you should try taking closer shoots because the big boy shot is to hard for you.

And the reason I asked about Telfair is because I used to collect him (I still do a little) in the beginning of the season when he didn’t get any playing time. Now that they finally fired Mo Cheeks maybe he will get the chance to improve. But it will be hard to put the lay up behind up ;)

The main problem with the Portland is that they have absolutely no team chemistry. They have some big names but I just don’t believe they play very well together. Another problem is that half the players there get arrested for something. Pot, Dog Fights, and whatever else. I wish you luck with your crappy team in the future,

BTW what the heck is Portland GM? Great move by trading Rasheed Wallace.

Is rodney white still in jail or did he go to jail? Last i heard of White he got arrested on weapons in his car?

Once again, you shouldn't speak unless you have a grain of knowledge. If you knew anything at all, you'd realize the only two people left on the roster that have had run-ins with the law are Damon(Which is past him, and he's been a team player and a model citizen over the last couple years) and Zach Randolph(for something his brother did). So if you don't any idea what you are talking about, why talk?

The trade to get rid of Rasheed was a good one, and one that had to be made, there were multiple reasons for it, 1)He was not a go-to guy, a guy that the offense had to be run through, and he had to be a playmaker, that's not what he's best at, he is good in the 2nd/3rd option, that's his comfort level, and it didn't work out. 2)In an attempt to clean up the Blazers image and win back the fans it was a move that needed to be made. 3) We have Zach Randolph, who is young, but has more potential then what Rasheed would have given us, and neither could play in the SF or C spot so it was an easy decision based on the other 2 previously mentioned notes. And brush up on your english kiddo, 90% of those sentences were terribly typed and incredibly butchered. "BTW what the heck is Portland GM?", "But it will be hard to put the lay up behind up" very impressive, you're almost ready to move onto 2nd grade;)

Nope charges were dropped, I believe he paid a fine and did some probation. He plays for the Nuggets now in a midseason trade. Was that an attempt at a witty comment

Hah NoFlyZone exactly. =)

Nobody cares about the Blazers, they **** as a team and have nothing but potheads, criminals and overrated duds for players. Above all that they have one of the worst GM's in the league (of course Isiah is #1).
When you have a guy named Joel Przybilla as one of the best players on your team, you have a serious problem.

Well, Sheed has been good for the pistons... And you were right about my grammar in my pervious post, but it was 2 in the morning and I had just gotten back from a party and was a little messed up if you know what I mean. :D

Hahahaha, it actually humors me to see how little you know, and yet people somehow, for some reason, respect your opinion, Pryzbilla is not one of our best players, he's our 2nd best center, and if your second best center can get your 10 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks on 60+ shooting, I think any team would take that, espacially out of someone who was expected to play 15-20 minutes. Of course Theo and Zach got hurt, and Joel had to step up. But I'd take Pryzbilla over 9/10th's of the leagues centers, he doesn't back down from anyone, he is a top 3 shot blocker, solid rebounder, and can score in the paint. ****s at free-throws but so do most centers. And a lot of people car about the Blazers, they have some of the best fans in the NBA. Not everyone is a fairwether fan like most the kiddies that run around these boards, sporting whoever has the best record at the time. And the GM, is about to get the Axe this offseason.

Of course he has, he is the 2nd/3rd scoring option behind Hamilton/Billups/Prince, they aren't expecting him to carry the team and take 20 shots a game, with their success resting on his shoulders.
