Here's my December 2014 pick ups
Let's start off with cards for various sets I'm working on
00/01 Pacific Titanium Game Gear Grant Marshall
- I usually only pick up two colour swatches, but I thought this swatch was unique enough.
03/04 ITG VIP Rookie Debut David Hale
- from our very own Dave Rearick (the hobby will miss you as you take a step back from the hobby), this was the last card he directed my way
03/04 Pacific Exhibit Time Warp Frank Mahovolich and Martin Brodeur
- not much to say, always have liked the Time Warp design, and figure I'll chase them.
03/04 Topps Pristine Patches Dany Heatly and Brian Rolston, Popular Demand Joe Thornton and Pristine Portions Stick Valeri Bure
04/05 Pacific Game Worn Jersey Martin Havlat and Paul Kariya
- different swatches to go with my non-white set that I showcased about an year ago here

10/11 Upper Deck 20th Anniversary Bourque, Eberle, Fuhr, Hall, LaFleur and Yzerman
- with these I'm down to 2 left for the 552 card set with both of those cards incoming.
12/13 Upper Deck Update Torrey Mitchell
- working on the set, but I will be moving this card shortly to help out someone else. Anyone have a decent size lot of these UD Updates?
13/14 Upper Deck SPX Retro Pavel Bure, Tony Esposito, and Seth Jones
- got a number of them coming in, and am down to just 8 more for the set

- I was having a tough time finding this card for some reason - multiple copies of the red /99 were listed on eBay - but checking my usual haunts revealed nothing - until one day Ameet found a copy in his traders and was kind enough to send it my way. Thanks very much!

08/09 Upper Deck Ice and Ultimate
- so with the Miller being acquired and the Ice and Ultimate arriving from COMC - I'm finally able to put the first wave of Benning moves behind me.

09/10 Upper Deck Ultimate
- This card doesn't YET fit into the Canucks RC as despite two call ups, Bobby hasn't made his Canuck debut. That being said, I do tend to get ahead of the pack and pick up tougher rookies so when the player does debut I don't have many (if any) to chase.
Will Acton
13/14 SP Authentic, The Cup and Ultimate
- as above, I grabbed a few of the tougher ones when Acton was acquired. Not sure why he was acquired and don't foresee him as a Canuck but got these for reasonable prices.

- annoyingly, I already had the Silver /3 (as does Bruce), but only Bruce had the Black /6 until now when I acquired this. Now we both conitnue to hunt the Emblem Silver /3 (which neither of us has)

- when I saw this on the checklist, I knew it was something that I'd like to get, so I made an offer to the eBay seller after some time and they accepted it.

09/10 1972 A Year In Hockey Autograph
- I was always a huge Pat Quinn fan since he saved the Canucks in the late 80s, and with his passing I decided to grab this for my collection. I have the Decades 90s card (as a Leaf) and now this (as a Flame) and I think both times, he could've/should've been featured as a Canuck. He was more involved in the 90s as a Canuck, and played more games in 1972 as a Canuck before joining the Flames in the expansion draft. (However, I do acknowledge that he played more games as a Flame after that than before as a Canuck.) It's just a shame that he doesn't have a Canuck autograph after saving the team. The hockey world lost a great individual with his passing.

- This is NOT a Linden pick up, this is an ITG Canuck auto pick up (more Lindens below). I had grabbed this for the Linden PC at release but never grabbed a second one for the ITG Canucks auto collection until now. Need Pavel to finish off the set and collection.

2014 Fall Expo Retro YG and 97-98 Donruss Elite Status Promo
- other than the Donruss Elite, nothing much to say. The Donruss Elite promo is a new one to me, but a nice addition to the collection. The ITG gold jerseys were cheap second or third copies that I couldn't say "no". I've kvetched about the Fall Expo YG but will do so again, if it's his Retro YG - could UD have used an image from his first season (88-89) instead of one from his fourth season (91-92).

- finally picked this up after Ed grabbed the first copy to surface, and just after I won this a third nicer swatched version surfaces. Oh well.

- nice to cross off one of the few remaining Panini wants from my list. I'm down to a /35 (incoming), a couple of /25s (made?), a /10, and then 3 /5's, a pair of /3's and a /2 and then a bunch of 1/1s.
13/14 National Treasures Plates (11/12 Dominion Magenta and Yellow and 11/12 Pinnacle Black, Blue and Yellow)
- here's some of the 1/1s I needed. Really not chasing thse hard but was picking them up for the right price.

- this is jersey #'d sort of. Martin Gelinas wore #20 in his first 4 seasons as a member of the Oilers before switching to #7 for the his last season as an Oiler. The card from the set show him as #7 or don't show the number - but this is/was the number he won the Championship wearing - so there.
13/14 Oilers Printing Plate (Yellow) 1/1
- again, I want to thank Hama/Art publicly for A) pointing out the plate which I missed and B) sending most of the other Oilers cards (I think all but the first banner was from him. Thanks very much!
