Ya, not sure I understand why some of his patch cards go for so much. I remember selling an SPx Patch (non auto) for like $50 earlier in the year. Meanwhile, most of his other cards can be had for less than $5
 
I likewise do not get this. It's gotta be all about the patches because seriously, he's like #8 on the Habs d-man list on the roster...when there is a roster.
 
I was thinking it might go for $45-50. Was really reluctant to go any higher, than I lost all my common sense and bid it right up to $96. Luckily I came to my senses in time to turn away.
 
Don't forget, it's #'d /249 and the price will only go down. That's taken me a long time to learn, but if you wait, you should be able to get a nice one for cheap. Good luck in your quest!!
 
Swiss collectors will pay a premium for a nice patch - add that to set/patch collectors = higher prices. A few years ago - I had a real nice patch for Hiller from SPA - easily got $200+ for it compared to a lot less for a one colour. Any nice patches for Swiss players will get a huge premium - just look at Aebischer and Hiller for example

Thanks, but waiting isn't an option for me when I am chasing #24/249. Another will not come along.

I have in the past in cases where I was willing to spend more but for some reason didn't get the chance. In this case, my insanity had me paying twice as much as I normally would. I have since regained my sanity and am glad I missed out on this. I would have had serious buyer's remorse.
