I shipped a bubble mailer to NS this morning and it was $10.50, so it went up 50-cents. I also sent something last week Priority International flat rate envelope and it was $24.99; I believe it is now up to $25.85 (the cheapest option to offer tracking, I believe).
The $44.50 is now the Priority International Express.
It's amazing that, in this day and age, just to get tracking it is so expensive. So If I send something to Niagara Falls, US, it is under $4 and I get a tracking number. That same envelope going another few hundred feet across the river costs almost $22 more just to get tracking.
Yea man it's unreal. Way to expensive. And half the time the tracking isn't updated properly. I just go by the custom form tracking. At least that works 75% of the time.
The tracking works if you look on Canada Posts website.
Due to incredibly high shipping costs... I just couldn’t go any higher... o
The rates in Canada went up as well.
I think this is good place to point out that a lot of the postal increases on international mail can be traced back to policy set by the UPU:

Seems that you could have reached out to an American member on here and asked for help. Paying $3.50 to have it shipped to someone stateside and then paying the $10.50 to be shipped to you first class with tracking would be cheaper than the seller’s option for international shipping.
Dunno what your max bid woulda been, but it sold for just under $20 dlvd to a USA buyer, you possibly could have had it for $35 or less.
That’s one of the best features of this site. Folks can be incredibly helpful most of the time.
For oversized mail up to 100g, which is typically the standard bubble envelopes, the Canada Post increases Jan. 14 were as follows:
Within Canada: $1.80 is now $1.90
Canada to U.S: $2.95 is now $3.12
Canada to international: $5.90 is now $6.25
