Hey guys, I was wondering what I can do in the following situation. I purchased a card at the Toronto expo numbered out of 25 for $250. this card was in awesome condition so i walked across the hall and bought it to Beckett grading services to get it sent away. they fed me a few lines about how i couldnt get it sent anywhere other than toronto so i decided to wait since i am from another provience. They took it out of my one touch even though the other guy said one touches were better access than the plastic ones they usually use. I have been getting things graded for YEARS but this is what hurt me. They damaged my card. THEY DAMAGED MY CARD. I noticed it and immediately ran back to the booth to inform them. I was offered a few free slabbing. I said I would think about it because I was now uneasy about them handling my cards in such a manner. What really disappoints me the most is that when I returned, the "boss" at the booth made me wait for 15 minutes and then basically told me it was my fault and there was a "pen mark" on the card that caused the folded corner. It was actually being forced into the holder and THAT'S what caused the bent corner. He basically told me to "prove it" and sent me away packing, refusing to speak to me after I suggested I take further action to protect myself against this type of thing. he said "we can't talk about this any more' and TURNED HIS BACK ON ME and walked away. I am not only disappointed but hurt that they would treat a customer like this. not cool Beckett...not cool :whatthehell:
