Does anyone actually collect any low end?

I do want to obtain certain autos of pittsburgh rookies(mainly certified) but it seems that people only want my items that book for much more....Maybe I just need to stay off beckett and type up my list again in excell like I use to(and of course try to trade here a lot more)

If you are trading on beckett, that might be a part of the problem.


There are still many people collecting low-end. There are many team collectors who are happy to move a part of their tradelist for similar cards of their favorite teams in return. I'm one of them.

thats good to know..Just wish I was not so behind on making up a list....over 800 cards too add..maybe double that...need to try and commit to adding about 100 cards a day or come up with a different plan..perhaps I should start with habs and oilers(as wellas other items in your signature) lol...Anyways I am not overly obsessed with BV just not wanting to trade down unless I working on something like what is in my signature.

I'm open to trading for 90s islanders, ice acetate cards (except 01-02 base) and anything John Tavares.

Most of what I need is low-end. That being said, there is also a huge chunk that I need is high-end as well.

For example I collect mostly BV 10 and under cards. I have next to nothing to trade though.

They are definately out there, but usually stick to offline sources. I say this because I am one of these people but know the online market. Just go search for base on ebay, those cards people list for $1 you can get for a dime locally. Maybe not the exact ones, but its still a bad indication for online selling. For online base, it seems it is in lots or nothing.

I went through the "high end only" phase, but it just wasn't fun. I do now look forward to getting base and inserts to work on sets.

I agree and I've traded a higher end card just to acquire 1 semi high end card and multiple lower end cards to add to the team collection. If could get rid of a trader for some team/player p.c.'s, I'm happy. But of course, it all depends on the high end card and what I'm getting back. I won't always trade away a high end card.

Collecting a 3rd line centre (that maybe a bit of a stretch ), most of what is produced is low-end nowadays, mostly base and parallels. Only Panani is creating Mid-High End of Backlund anymore, I'll happily trade GU/Autos even some higher end for my low-end needs.
