Hey guys
This is kinda OT but does anyone know a reputable person who grades toys? I have a Star Wars action figure from 1977 which is apparently the most sought after of it's kind. It's a Jawa with a vinyl cape. These were pulled after 6 months in 1977 and replaced with cloth ones. I had these since I was a kid stored away. Looks like I could triple my money if I can get it verified as there are many fakes out there. I need to find someone who is knowledgable and trustworthy. Looks like maybe $400 US for it. Unbelievable.

Thanks for bringing me back to the day I used to have a Jawa shirt.
I seem to remember that I also got enough points to get a mail away figure or either Boba Fett or Yoda. I want to say Boba Fett but I was young at the time and my mother might have been playing a trick on me.

off the top of my head i think there is a company called AFA that is one if not the most reputiable toy graders around. im sure if you run a google search you could find out more info.

Brisco- careful, your showing off your age. It was the Boba Fett that was the mail in. Got one of those too.

Purple- I checked them out and it appears they only grade stuff still in packages. After some help from a guy in Germany, he showed me how to get a picture of the capes texture. I guess the fakes don't have it. He said I should have no problem getting top dollar for it with that picture.

Ha!!!! I guess we about the same age then?
I would be crazy rich if I was smart enough to keep those things in the box.
Man I have evrything. But as a kid I beat it up and lost parts etc. In short I played with the toys!!!!
I have been saving them if I have kids but what the hey I might just go in the attic when I put the Christmas stuff away and get them out.
