In the last minute of Game # 2 in Tampa.

Kucherov was skating back to the bench and made a distinct kicking motion against Connolly. Thankfully there was no injury. :whew:

He was assessed a 2 minute minor for Roughing.

FYI in minor hockey any kicking motion against a player is an automatic ejection.

Don't get me started on the phantom high sticking call on Oshie again Hedman or the non hooking call on Kunitz against Wilson which resulted in Wilson getting a goalie interference call. :bruce:

He should get a game. If Wilson got 3 games for his beautifully legal check this should be at the very least a 1 game.

Pretty Brutal Play on Kucherov, although no injury occurred, I think the intent was there.
I wouldn't be surprised if they let this slip under the rug and let him play, especially since they are down 2 games already.

If that kind of lousy kick deserves suspension, they might just as well suspend Connolly for his contact with Kucherov earlier.

A penalty was called so he probably won't get any extra. He was more pad on pad, he didn’t kick his skate or skate blade at him so I don’t think it has the same dangerous feel to it. He probably do deserve at least 1 game, keep it under control and make an example. As for the Wilson hit it definitely was not a legal hit but that's a different topic and I don't want to derail Brian's post. This series is quickly becoming very physical with a lot of close and questionable incidents. To be honest I am going for the Jets so I really don't care who wins as I am not a fan of either of these two teams.
