Does the NHL usually auction off European season opener jerseys?

I'm just wondering if the jerseys from the games in Europe to start the season are usually controlled by the team, or does the league mandate that they be auctioned (for charity?), like they do with some other special event jerseys?

the rest are controled by the teams
