I haven't purchased a card in the month of December off ebay! I have purchased one off of COMC though, working on that restraint piece for the next few months, so far so good....

Not exactly, because I can't control if or when something I really want will come up. But I do try to set internal budgets on a card-by-card basis and attempt to maintain my willpower if they don't fall within that range.

I take breaks now and then and dive into my other hobby, which is gaming. Otherwise I'd go broke buying cards year round. It goes in cycles and I think it's a good balance.

LOL. I can step aside for weeks or sometimes months at a time but even then I always keep an eye on my eBay saved searches so I don't miss anything too important. I may not be posting on the forums much or actively hunting but I still don't want to see anything slip by when I'm not paying as much attention. And often times seeing a key card that I've been waiting for finally appear is the spark that pulls me back in. Happened just last weekend as a matter of fact. And here I am again with a couple of new cards in the mail and an itchy eBay finger lol

Every time I do, the card gods send something my way that I can't pass up. I haven't been able (or willing) to buy a box of cards to open in some time, so if that counts, there's that.

Just did a big move so I bought only 1 card since April. To be honest ,I'd figured I'd go crazy not having bubbles showing up on a regular basis but it really hasn't been that bad.I didn't miss it as much as I thought I would

You could call it a "Card detox diet",lol


When I get going again I think I'll be more selective in buying and be more willing to let stuff go. In the meantime, I get my fix from all the great S&T here on HI
