Long story short: Upper Deck's staple Game Jersey cards are what got me into collecting, and I still love and appreciate them today. I would have loved nothing more than to see myself on a Game Jersey card.

Thanks to an incredibly talented HI member Jonathan (DnJcards), I now have my very own custom made Game Jersey card:

** My camera makes the card look darker than it is for some reason **

I saw Jonathan's work in another S&T post a while back and decided to try and make the dream a reality and have a custom card made.

I contacted Jonathan with a very precise vision for the card, and after minimal back-and-forth he nailed the design. I found a hidden spot on the jersey behind a tag that I could steal a tiny swatch from (yes, it's the actual jersey I'm wearing on the card) and sent it off to Jonathan. I got the card this past week and the results are tremendous. It has a nice glossy finish front and back, the card stock is exactly as thick as a real Game Jersey, and the finished result is better than any other custom cards I've ever seen.

Between the first contact, design, shipping the jersey swatch, putting the card together, and delivery the entire process only took a few weeks.

If you've ever kicked around the idea of having a custom card made I STRONGLY recommend you reach out to Jonathan. His work is tremendous and worth every single penny. Thank you Jonathan!

And thank you all for looking

VERY cool!!! I've been wanting to do one for myself from a jersey I have from my 1996 team. I'm with Matt...a patch version would be wild!

Nice card, Kevin!

But you know why ball caps have a bill on them? They are to shield your eyes from the sun...especially when playing baseball (softball). So turn that cap around when playing. Or keep it like that and just look like a dork...or a caveman (read the link)!

I'm kidding you, Kev..... :D

But I'm not!

p.s. This hat advice goes out to a another good friend of mine...a Colorado dude who thinks he's back in SoCal with his west coast homies listening to Pennywise and skateboarding like Tony Hawk. :owned:

p.s.s. Just busting your balls guys and having fun. :D

Nice card, Kevin. Jon's work, as regularly displayed here, is of a consistently high quality, evident even in my signature. The process sounds like it was similarly smooth for you as it was for me, and I don't hesitate to recommend him either.
