Hey all you vintage fanatics -

I found a spot that has some vintage cards - one of those little ratholes where you don't expect much and then they wheel out a binder with a ton of nice vintage stuff.

In the binder is a Dryden OPC rookie - the card appears to be in great shape with all four sharp corners and edges, no discoloration, and decent centering.

I am really considering making a big push into vintage (and by really considering I mean it is about to happen) and would like this to be my first purchase. I see what these go for on ebay but any help that you guys have as far as what is a fair price on this would be appreciated - also, what should a guy pay for the Topps version of this card as well?

It's exciting to get back in the realm of the vintage stuff so any help you guys can give would be appreciated - oh, one other thing, is there any worry here about a fake or reprint version of this card that I should be aware of?

Thanks all!

I guess you won't be sharing the location of said rat hole...... ;)

I know where you're coming from, personally I have grown tired of the modern cards and the hobby is grinding on me again. I decided to go vintage memorabilia and pre-1960's singles. I think I'm going to re-focus again and stick just to the vintage higher grade higher $$ singles prior to 1962 and get rid of everything made in the last 10 years.

I would if I actually had any idea of what the place was called - some little hole here in Bellevue - not far from where I work. Was out to lunch one day and spotted it.

If it works out, I'll end up buying the whole lot from him - then we can sit down and you can take parts if you like but I don't think there was a lot of pre-62 stuff. More late 60's and early 70's cards but you are welcome to the majority of it...again, assuming I can make a deal with this guy. Some decent stuff in there for sure...I'll keep you posted Tony.

Put me in line if you pick up the lot as well please. Generally a Topps Dryden sells for $50-$80, while the OPC sells for double to triple that in NM condition. I would be all over that Dryden if I were you.

Drop me a line if you grab the binder, I wouldn't mind checking it out some time. Thanks
