Just sharing some information. It's usually a "free" listing day... but I guess the eBay money making machine is in full stride. Still a nice day to list a bunch of things at a discount.

***One-Day 10¢ Listing Day Sale For Auction-Style and Fixed Price Listings***
Date: 12/26/04 Time: 04:46:13 PM PST

We are pleased to announce a special one-day 10¢ Listing Day Sale where insertion fees for auction-style and fixed price format listings on www.ebay.com, www.ebaymotors.com (for non-vehicles listings) and www.ebay.ca will be 10¢. The promotion will begin on Monday, December 27, 2004 at 00:00:01 PT (12:00 AM plus one second) and end that same day, Monday, December 27, 2004 at 23:59:59 PT (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds). I bet Meg Whitman is behind this nefarious scheme.

Meg: Free Listing Day? That takes away from my profits! No sale! :p
Marketing Rep 1: We usually do this as a way to thank eBay members for their continued support and...
Meg: You're fired!

We usually refer to it as "trained pig day" because you pretty much get everyone coming out of the woodwork to list the worst crap imaginable.

Still, useful for listing those big tickets. I'll be putting a few up tomorrow with openers I can live with, and the rest I'll list Tuesday.

Yeah... so much for listing that big stack of Pacific inserts I am using as drink coasters. :D

You're right that it's a good day to list big ticket items and not get hit with additional fees for opening bids over $9.99
