I saw the title Spiral8's thread about the Seabrook CHL Logo 1/1... it reminded me of this eBay auction that's currently running.

Alexander Semin - SPA Patch Auto /100

Very nice looking patch... then I get to the funny (err, sad) part of the auction description:

THIS IS A 2003 / 2004 SP AUTHENTIC ALEXANDER SEMIN AUTOGRAPH JERSEY PATCH CARD. IT IS NUMBERED 59/100. IT HAS A PIECE OF THE STAR ON IT, WHICH MAKES IT A 1/1.

Guess the seller hasn't seen my patch. . .

Jay, you have an piece of an another star, which DEFINATELY makes your a 1/1 :p ;)

I guess if I ever want to sell mine then I can make up something and list them all as 1/1's, sweet. That is a rare Stajan though, don't see too many 3-colours from him and mine will probably not get bid on now that his is on along with cardhut's.

I like my Stajan better. :D

Well thanks sooo much for pointing this out!

Here I was attempting to get a steal. What with this stellar No Reserve Auction!

All in fun! There isn't much of a steal to be had here with an opening Bid of $99.99!

he's just making sure that if the card sells he gets a fair value for it. I did the same with my two. If they don't sell I have no problem keeping them.

Just thought I would add this newly listed auction to the bunch:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=44894&item=5164086394&rd=1

Two SPA Patch Semin 1/1's on eBay at the same time :p

I really don't get it just because it's the last card serial numbered, that it is a 1/1...maybe a small, fractional, tiny etc. (insert your own) bit more appealing to collector's, but not a 1/1. Anyways, we all know this already so I'll stop rambling.

Yeah... but the ironic thing is that he'd get more if he listed starting low, than just the $100 starting bid. At that price, he'd be lucky to get one bid (maybe two). Whereas that card would go over $100 if started low... based on recent sales.
