Just so annoying when ebay buyers don't pay then I have to open up a case against them to get credit back

I wish ebay would set up a system for buyers that once the auction is finished, the paypal automatically transfer from their account into yours. So much for when someone bids they are "committing" to buy the item

I'm thinking of writing ebay about the issue. This is so annoying. I really like my idea about the money transfering right away

It could never happen because of the ability to use different forms of payment. How would they determine what to use (CC vs Debit card, etc)? I don't know many people that actually keep a paypal balance in their account. The probability of litigation would likely be 100%. They'd be out of business in a week.

eBay's biggest problem isn't buyers who don't pay. It's their steadfast refusal to budge from the idea that there is no such thing as a bad buyer, only bad sellers. Give sellers their rightful ability to leave negative feedback, and the unpaid cases would drop by about 80%

I would have to agree with TanguayFan that it could never happen...Plus I don't think it would be fair to force immediate payment...there have been plenty times I purposefully won an auction and waited til the next day to pay because I didn't have the funds available at the moment the auction ended. Also, I think it would make sales go down if immediate payment was required as I'm sure other people have done what I've done.

On the other hand, I agree buyers should be more protected from this and be able to take more action. Thankfully I have never had any problems with cards, but I sold a guitar before for $300+ and the guy never paid and his excuse was "I found another guitar somewhere else, so I don't need yours anymore. I'm not going to pay so go ahead and file a claim against me, I don't care."

WTF lol
