A few days ago I listed a staal cup 1/1 base card. $200 obo. I get an offer from a person with 4500 feedback at 100% and has been a member for over 3 years. They offer $110. I counter with $150 hoping I can get $125 for this card. He then counter offers me $151.

Im very confused. I have never been through this scenario. Is this some kind of scam? why has he chosen to hide his feedback? or does he just really want this card?

besides me accepting the offer and taking the proper steps to protect myself. I still feel uneasy. Any opinions?

If he hasn't retracted the $151 offer, go for it. You have three days to think about offers made. On the last day accept the $151 if not retracted. Maybe they think your counter offer was the lowest you would go so they offered $1 more.

Thanks for the replies. Long story short I did some digging. The buyer is a high end collector from Miami. He only collects Exquisite/Cup 1/1,Jersey #'s and first and last of the print run. He is also a UD diamond Club member.

I accepted the offer

said hes a private collector and doesnt want people to know what hes buying

Think the question meant Did PayPal give you a reason why the funds were held? Very strange if the guy's got all that positive feedback. Careful here, as I had one (only $20-ish) back in January where the buyer had awesome feedback, but I got the claim almost right away due to fraudulent activity suspected - lost my money and my Malkin card :(

If you haven't sent it yet, I would wait until the funds are unfrozen.

yes. Because ive never had a big transaction like this before. I also have less then 100 feedback. I have his home address and also have seen some of the things hes bought. Im certain this isnt fraud
