You're probably the only collector on earth (save maybe Jeff - gretzkycards) who could consider that a compliment to your collection, rather than a suppliment or defining piece.

Beautifully done, Steve. Many kudos. Tell me, what's your fave 1/1? The MTO Sakic, that dual patch? Perhaps the $7 topps gold label one? :D
 
Hm...interesting question Wes. I'll have to think on that one. I don't think I could fairly answer it until I've had a chance to bask in its presence.
 
Wow!!! That is an insane card. I'm definitely surprised it didn't go higher. Especially with Sakic and Yzerman. Congrats Q.
 
I thought Andrew(Maverick*Sports) was going to give you a run there but he backed off. He also is a big Sakic collector. Congrats on the win

Cheaply? I know it's all relative, but I can't help but be reminded of a line from the Godfather: "If you consider a million dollars mere financing, Don Corleone, salute!"

On a related topic, though, it's fortunate no one sharing your sense of strategy jumped into the bidding just to make certain you paid as much as possible. ;)
