EBUG Epack pickup

Like most, David Ayres story book night fascinated me. After finding out he is a kidney transplant recipient like myself I became a bigger fan of him and his story. So I was super stoked to see Upper Deck make a Young Gun of him for the SP Authentic Update set. I was also happy about Epack making a Game Dated Moments card for him (I picked up 10 of those). Then UD said they were inserting autographed versions of the game dated moments card into series 1 Epacks. I made it my mission to get this card. It was difficult with only 6 popping out of packs so far. I tried all 6 people with trades, most said they were keeping for their PC's. But yesterday I saw another one had surfaced and after sending a trade I landed one late last night.

I can't wait for the actual card to be made and have it in my hands.

I did the math and I ended up parting with $180 (eBay priced) worth of cards for it. Owner was thrilled to get the cards they got and obviously I was thrilled to land this card. So it was a win win

I honestly think these "special cards" are getting out of control...

I have a few of these "SP" cards from over the years...

The Sam Tageson Young Gun was one of first to be made. Then Jorge Alves Young Gun and I wouldn't be suprised if the girl who loves the Blues gets a card too.

I think it's cool.

Especially since Alves played in the game. I would be surprised if he didn't get one.

I think its great too but not a yearly thing gets to be less special.
