I'll begin with this:

I got an offer for an Auston Matthews SPx Shadow Box ARP/99 for a Laine YG + 4-5 different $10 BV cards... with a plea that it was the trader's dream card and wondering if I would trade him for that...

The most epic trade offer I received.. Someone actually offered the correct sum of funny money for one of my cards LOL.. KIdding.. interesting topic, keep it going

Epic trade in a real sense?

My pack-hit Auston Matthews Canvas YG

for

Auston Matthews Young Guns
Patrick Laine Young Guns
Jane Guentzel Young Guns Canvas

Took it in a heartbeat and thanked the dude for making a fair offer out of the gate.

That's bad, someone just hoping you don't notice it's the gold version!

I was offered a 15$ Miesha Tate auto for a Roy Grandeur Frost coin #1/500. The Tate is not even on my WL...

Unless I misunderstood being a E-Pack newbie, but last night I was offered this trade:

Give up: Seimsic Gold Tobias Lindberg /50

Receive: Nothing

Was this guy trying to trick me?

You have to counter it with what you might want from his collection- there is no way to accept an offer that is blank on one side. That is just to let know that he is interested and lets you select what you would want for that card.

The base line is that giving cards away for free is not possible.

Happens often when you have no idea what to offer. For example, if there is no avatar set and there is nothing on a wishlist.

Just received this one from a trader who either knew nothing of what he was asking or hoped I knew nothing about what I would give away.

He offered :

Ivan Provorov SPx Shadowbox Materials /149
Andrew Desjardins SPGU Net Cord
Filip Forsberg UD Exclusives /100

AND ASKED FOR :

Ondrej Kase YG
AND
Goodwin Pearl Harbor Salvage Diver Insignia (such as this one) :|

That's an automatic decline and 1 star.

I think there is a strong chance the other party didn't know the value of what he/she asked.

I'm not aware either. Is it a lot more rare than any of these: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_od...m+2016.TRS0&_nkw=goodwin+museum+2016&_sacat=0

They're indeed among the rarest group and part of the most expensive pieces after military pins and medals. But coming from an experienced trader (800 or so rating), I would expect of him to do a minimum of research before making such a proposition. But you're right, it doesn't mean he knew what he was asking for.

What do you guys think of blank trades?

I personally hate them when I have an up-to-date wish list. I spent the time to update and have a large number of items on my wish list.

Then the blank trade comes and a comment of "what cards are you looking for?"
