Caught wind of an estate sale/auction through a friend of mine who has started to dabble in sports memorabilia. He told me that the gentleman who passed away was one of Gordie Howe's best friends. Seeing if I could score any Howe/hockey stuff, I decided to check it out. Here's what I picked up:
1971 Paul Lux Detroit Red Wings whiskey decanter. Look these up on eBay and remember that price at the end of this post.
1970s Lionstone New York Rangers whiskey decanter. More rare than the Paul Lux ones, these are extremely limited and sell for a pretty penny when you can find them.
Bradford Exchange Stanley Cup Plate. These were made in 1997. They're pretty cool looking. The signature on it and the price were what sold it for me.
Dual signed 8x10 framed and matted with gold coins and limited to 50 of two great Wing captains/HOFers. While not Yzerman/Howe, it'll do I suppose
Total haul for the lot: $140 out the door. Thanks for looking folks.
