As you all know, Matt (v00d00), Damian (thefranchise) and I had our own table at Frank and Sons yesterday. I had a GREAT time there. I've met Matt before, and as always he's a great guy; this is his third time driving me everywhere. It was my first time meeting Damian in person, and he's also a class-act. Jonathan (Battie4) stopped by, and although is a very very cool guy, I gotta ask him: What were you doing at a card show with NO money and NO cards??
Hehe, I guess he came just to see us. How cool.
Anyways, now it's time to see the cards!
Thia Spudd Webb was part of a trade I had going with Damian, and he gave me the Andre Miller for free! How cool is that!:
These cards I got in trades with Matt. He gave me deals on all of them, and gave me the Forte RC and Andre Miller auto for free! I'm gonna give the Forte to Derek (BravesFan) since he collects Forte (for what reason none of us know).
I've been wanting that Jaric/Manu dual auto FOREVER now, and he gave me a sweet deal on it. Last night was the first time I had EVER seen ANY white refractors, and for it to be a Jaric refractor...well let's just say I couldn't pass it up. Matt didn't make it hard 'cause he gave me some pretty sweet deals. And look at that Stockton! That's almost gradeable material right there:
Now for the cards I pulled out of boxes at Frank and Sons. I bought three boxes; two Fleer Greats of the Game for $37 each, and one Skybox L.E. for what I think was $42. I wasn't really happy with my L.E. pulls, although the Yao Ming is /50 and the J.R. Smith is /99:
These are the GOTG pulls. I pulled the Isiah, Vince, and Bobby Knight all in the same Box:
Now for my card show pick-ups! The Outlaw is for Bargey:
And you wanna know what the most amazing thing about the card show was? PEOPLE BUY BASE CARDS!! I was selling 'em like hot cakes for $0.05 a piece. As I'm watching 'em pick out their cards, I'm thinking to myself, "Wow, and before I couldn't even GIVE them away!" Hehe. Yeeeeeah.
Now for my mailday. Let me tell you: Bostoncorn is a class-act among class-acts. He did his best to get my cards to me before the show, but couldn't do to a family emergency. These cards arrived the day of the show, but I was already long gone. He sent express and paid over $16 to ship 'em. I will always remember that, Bostoncorn. Your effort is very much appreciated, and shows what type of guy you really are. Here's what he sent me:
So yeah, after a long day yesterday, my stomach full of Burger King cheeseburgers (they gave me extra pickles but not extra mustard. The bastards!), I zonked out while watching SNL. Sorry I couldn't bring these scans to you sooner.
Edit: Bahahaha I must still be asleep; scanning the backs of my cards for ya:
