HEY EVERYBODY!!!
Here is my first recap of weekly black-market pickups on Facebook. Basically, the black-market on Facebook has over 15,000 members all looking to sell or buy different items. Having a fine interest in making money and collecting, I thought that I would ask for hockey cards one day. To my surprise, I received many responses from people just looking to unload on their collections and unsure of the value of the card today. After I meet for the card, I put it up for trade on youtube and hopefully up on this forum now to eventually make a decent profitable return. Once I receive enough feedback to sell, I will begin to do so as well. Now, for my week #1 pickups.... If you would like pics of the cards, just feel free to ask and I will provide.
From September 3rd to September 10th 2012
1. Michael Del Zotto Young Guns
- Not a bad card to get for a very nice price. The seller was very flexible and just wanted to get rid of it. Del Zotto has some potential and especially now being on a competitive Rangers team...I expect big things from him!!!
Price Paid for It- $1
Card Status- Not FT for now as I see him having a decent year if hockey is to be played
2. Sidney Crosby MVP Rookie
- Now here is a card that took some convincing. It took me at least 30 mins to convince the seller that this was the lowest selling rookie of Crosby. He finally budged.
Price Paid for It- $5
Card Status- On hold for somebody, but FT if deal does not go through
3. Brayden Schenn and Jeff Skinner Young Guns
- Here are two young guns that will really help expand my collection. Very happy with these two pickups because they are two players that I'm expecting to become somewhat of stars for their respective teams. Seller had no hockey card knowledge so the first offer he gave me I immediately took!!
Price Paid for It- $6
Card Status- FT
4. Gordie Howe Artifacts Jersey and Evgeni Malkin UD Jersey
- Two nice pickups here. The Howe definitely fits well in any collection. As for the Malkin, well he's just a beast....Seller surprisingly had some hockey card knowledge but I asked for this price and he succumbed.
Price Paid for It- $10
Card Status- FT
5. Claude Giroux SPX rookie jersey auto /999
- Now here is the steal of the day. Here's a top 5 player in the NHL and to get his rookie jersey auto for a truly amazing price feels great. Another seller who once again just wanted out with this card.
Price Paid for It- Believe it or Not, this card only cost me a WHOPPING $5
Card Status- FT
Just like my favourite shows Auction Hunters, American Pickers and Storage Wars, I like to provide a tally at the end of my finds.
Total BV- $226
Total Price Paid For- $27
The Giroux really helped that a lot!!!
