Fake or Real Drew Doughty Limited Patch?

hey guys,

Just seeking some advice on this Drew Doughty Limited Jumbo Patch #'d /5. I messaged the seller regarding how he obtained this card. He didn't message me back until after the auction has ended but I didn't put a bid on the card. The seller told me he received this card directly from Panini and I couldn't find a way to ask and confirm with Panini.

I compared the patch on the card to my LA Kings Third Alt Premier Jersey (the authentic jersey fans wear) of the middle cresting. The Third Alt Jersey is the only Doughty PRO Edge jersey I don't currently own to match it up to. However, looking at the middle cresting of my premier jersey, it showed some shine on the crest. In my opinion the patch looks like a cut out from a kings baseball cap or something lol.

What are your thoughts?

Card is almost too good to be true, went pretty low for a patch like that

I believe Panini has a security method to know whether the swatch has been faked or not, but you might need to have the card in hand.

Real, I remember seeing this one and wondering why we used it for a Prime swatch. It was a redemption.

Gah.

Everything about this patch is screaming fake to me....but..you have Bulldog confirming it...

Do you know where you may've gotten the patch from? It can't be from the shoulder swatch, since they use the shield for the shoulders now, and the thirds don't use any shoulder patches.

Also the size is throwing me off, even if it was on a should patch, it'd be larger than that, comparing it to these;

The second kind of matches it, but even still the stitching and such looks off.

But I guess it's a moot point. There's confirmation it's real...

Ahh, I looked at the thirds, but only at the shoulders.
