As my PC only contains Bernie Nicholls stuff, it's extremely rare for me to buy anything else. In the past, I've tried a couple other PC's (M. St Louis and JM Liles) but there is SO much out there, I didnt follow through and sold off the stuff I'd picked up.

Last spring, when I saw the original email about these cards, I knew I'd make a run for this if it surfaced on Ebay. It showed up on ebay on His Birthday (8/1)and I received today (8/9), on the Anniversary of his death (as well as my wedding anniversary and the anniversary of the day, in 1988, when Gretzky was traded to LA)

Music, Music, Music
Art Card - Rocky & Roll Heaven
Jerry Garcia 1/1

The card is Beautiful and I feel pretty lucky to have it. The original BIN was for $400 OBO. I made an offer and the seller countered. As I considered countering, I remembered a comment Quincy made about landing the Probert Enforcers Patch when another board member mentioned he had an offer out on the card. His response was something like, "you made an offer and I hit BIN". I kind of felt that way, knew I wanted this and was not going to goof around over a few bucks.

Last shows I attended were June 2-4, 1995, just before my 25th Birthday, at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. Started the weekend with Alabama Getaway and ended with Brokedown Palace. If any of you like the Grateful Dead, dont forget you can hear all their live shows on internet archive at http://archive.org/details/GratefulDead

Dr. Price, Thanks for this card and Please thank Mike James. As I really like his stuff, maybe you can have him paint the Nicholls card in History of Hockey!!!

Awesome card Sam! I've been to a bunch of Furthur & Phil shows over the past few years with my uncle. Wish I could have seen him live.....

I wasn't into them while he was still alive but over the past few years I've learned to appreciate them... mainly due to the guy that used to run a sub shop and had hundreds of ticket stubs on the walls of his store (and delicious subs that kept me coming back)

Congrats Sam on landing that beauty. Cool story to go along with it. I love hearing about the connections we have with some of our cards. So here's mine....

I opened a pack of Music Music Music at The National while sitting across from Doc Price and while I didn't hit a sweet 1/1 art card like that, I did pull a cut auto of Tom Johnston. I wasn't sure who he was but then Brian filled me in and I was very happy. He is the co-founder, vocalist and guitarist from the Doobie Brothers. One of my favorite classic rock bands. When I was around 12 years old, my dad was a manager at a record store called Discus in Winnipeg's St. Vital mall. He had quite the record collection and would get me listening to some 70's rock & roll. I used to sit there in front of the record player listening to the Best of the Doobie Brothers reading the lyrics off the album sleeve.

Good memories.

Fun product.

Great card again, thanks for showing it here. And those words quincy spoke are oh so true and should be heeded when we see that elusive card we covet so much.

Fire.....Fire on the Mountain.... Now I gotta go dig out a bootleg concert tape. Great looking piece. Congrats on the addition.

Love those cards! I have one incoming too, can't wait to see how they look like in person.

Congrats on the great addition!
