So there is a long story behind this post. It starts July 20th 2008 when I redeem the following:
I was super pumped to pull this card, and it may very well be the best pull of my life. I though about selling it and watched two end on the bay at $1000 and $1100. However I like Favre and I didn't own anything with his auto, so I decided it would be a nice addition to the PC.
Well almost a year and half later Topps calls me. I speak to a customer service rep who informs me that the Favre card is not going to be made. In addition they have sent the replacement. I asked if there was any info on what I would be getting in return, and the rep told me she had no answer. :badmood: Frustrated, I prayed for the best.
Three days later I get the certified mail slip at the doorstep. Knowing full well what it is for, I drive to the PO and pick up the package.
So, before I share, I am not happy that I did not get the card I pulled. But, I do think Topps made good.
1991 Topps Stadium Club Brett Favre (Farve) RC :beer: (NFT)
2003 Topps Brett Favre Record Breaker Auto (on card and mint):beer::beer: (NFT)
This last one is interesting. It must be a replacement card specifically made to honor the redemption. I can't find any info on it. The card has Favre in a Vikings jersey. I guess that is rare. It is very strong!
