Final Crisis Issue #6 - OMG!

My boyfriend is distraught over Final Crisis Issue #6 and the Batman thing. Does anyone else feel the same way. Can I include spoliers in here?

I'm not a Batman fan, and I haven't read it yet. But all he has been talking about for the past few hours is Batman, and how what happened was allowed to happen.

Sure, I just added a Spoilers Warning at the top of your post. Most people have probably already read it by now. Tell your BF not to belive everything he reads haha. Comics are like TV soaps NO ONE EVER DIES.

Tina, do he collect a lot of comics? I have a great lot I am considering selling/trading. Mostly modern runs but I do have some cool older stuff available as well.

Hi,

He doesn't collect. He merely reads for the enjoyment of reading. When he gets comics, he tosses away the plastic and cardboard backing. I don't want anymore comics at home, so I'll pass on trading for them. He'd only wreck them anyway. Andrew was the one who got him hooked. :|

As for the Batman thing, yeah, I'm sure he'll be back in some form or another. Maybe Robin will be the new Batman? LOL Okay, Marcus just corrected me in saying Nightwing, not Robin.

Nightwing is the likely replacement.....reminds me of a current Marvel title. The Major Super hero death idea has been beat to death. Lets be realistic there is no way that DC kills of Bruce Wayne...NEVER. He is their flagship character, the whole DC universe is centered around Bruce. They have repalced him before (broken back) and look how that turned out, major stink fest.

IMO its a desperate act to drum up comic sales, worst part is that it will probably work. Its sad that Dc has to kill of Bruce Wayne and only 6 months ago Marvel killed of Captain America along with a pile of other characters. They are trying to draw in new readers. A lot of people will buy the death issue but only that one. Who wants to start collecting batman just after Bruce Wayne dies. Same with Captain America, they kill of Steve and expect readers to join on now and read because of a second rate character is now Capt (Bucky)...stupid.
