Well, it’s seemingly been a busy January, as I’m only now getting together my recent pick-ups and a 2021 Top 10, so without further ado:

Recent Pick-ups

Continuing to chip away at the Artifacts team sets. The Bouwmeester Patch/Tag /5 and the Stajan Flag Patch cards came from a big (for me) deal with HI’s own Jeremy Lee done over the Christmas holidays – you’ll see more in the Top 10.

#10 Mark Giordano 2020-21 Artifacts Black Dual Patch /5 – love the colour combo on this one

#9 Mark Giordano 2005-06 SP Authentic Future Watch with an BGS Authenticated Auto – pretty unique item, since Gio didn’t get a proper FWA. Also picked up the Limited parallel /100.

#8 2019-20 Corban Knight 30th Anniversary Buyback YG 1/1 – made a trade with a fellow Flames collector that gave me the only true YG rainbow for Corban Knight (A 2022 Olympian!)

#7 UD Buyback Auto of a 2017-18 Sean Monahan Artifacts Black Dual Fight Strap /5 – I don’t collect the Artifacts Autos since they are stickers, but super happy to pick up this hard-signed version and finish up the Artifacts rainbow for this year.

#6 Bit of a cheat here, but was glad to add these four FWAP’s: Phaneuf & Nystrom from 2005-06, and two Canada Flag patches – Monahan from 2013-14 and Bennett from 2015-16.

#5 Early in the year I picked up a full 1978-79 O-Pee-Chee set locally, but the Bossy RC included was only filler grade, so upgraded to a decent PSA 7 RC (that I also think is underappreciated for how many goals he scored).

#4 I started putting together a Dillon Dube PC in 2018, but only was able to get his whole SPGU Draft Day Marks nameplate this year.

#3 I love Panini Prime Colours, and PC Kiprusoff, so was very happy to add a Prime Genuine Letter from a game-used jersey.

#2 I had owned a BGS 9 Ovechkin YG for a number of years, but decided in June to upgrade to a BGS 9.5. Glad I did given the season he’s had and the increase in value for these!
