New Member, Must Send First
I haven't been to a LCS since moving away from home after college. The other day I finally took the time to look up and check out the nearest store, and my girlfriend went along to humor me.
I started with the last two packs of SP Authentic in the store. I love SPA, but I could tell why there were only two packs left in the box...
Then, I did the exact same thing with the last 2 packs of Ice. Got the same result. Although, I will say that I love the Global Impact cards and still needed this one.
Since I made some space, the owner put a new box of Trilogy out. I figured if I bought half I was sure to get something. Ended up with Sprong and the Schultz Tryptichs, which is pretty cool, but nothing extravagant.
At this point I called it quits. I had spent more money than intended (although, that's not anything new) and I was a little down with my luck. My girlfriend, who usually shakes her head at my attachment to the hobby, said "So you're just going to leave the rest of that box when you know the other hits are still in it?" She pulled out her credit card and bought the rest. From now on, I'm just giving her my money and letting her buy all my cards!
As a side note, it was awesome to visit and support a new LCS, since I moved 300+ miles away from the only one I've ever known. I think I'll be going back soon!
