Stopped by Kenny's after work to see if he had gotten in Oilers Collection yet, maybe break a box or two. Well two turned into three, three to four, and ended at five, things kind of got crazy. I blame this entirely on the fact the first box was awesome, with 3 patches, 2 regular autos, and an auto patch #/25.

As an Oilers fan this stuff was a blast to open, three autos per box, and the manufactured banner patches are really nice.

Anyways here are the "hits"

Autographs

Picked up a few autos from Kenny as he got into the action and broke a few boxes himself.

The Hits

I know this product may not be for everyone, and it would be great if the price point was lower or the autos were hard signed. That said, I still had a blast opening it. And am looking for all Ryan Smyth cards, and the rest of the Retired Numbers Banner cards, and would love a shot at any Masterpiece 1/1 art cards anyone pulls.

Thanks for looking, good luck everyone!

Not bad on the Krusher! He hasn't signed a lot of stuff over the years. Are there any big names in this (Gretzky, Messier, Fuhr, Coffey, Kurri etc.)?

It's a nice design and it's great to see varied players but I'm not a fan of manufactured patches or sticker autos.
It pales in comparison to the Habs Centennial collection but is a good option for some.

I don't think it pales at all. Habs Centennial was largely autographs and parallels, and what game used was included was predominantly third-stringers. This product may not include game used, but it DOES include a wealth of higher-end inserts. Looking forward to my eight boxes.

Nice stuff, I'm obviously very partial to the Kurri and Krush emblem autos - those are the 2 sets I'd like to chase for the rest of my collecting life!

I'm fine with it - it's not for everyone's tastes - just like the Team Canada set - and all that has is autographs and parallels. If anything is available in the autographs or parallels - I would be interested

I couldn't help but notice....but isn't that a photo of Dave Dryden being used on the Ron Low auto card? I'm sure that's his mask.

Some nice looking cards.

Thanks for sharing.

That is indeed Dave Dryden on the Ron Low card. Low did not play for them in the WHA and that is definitely a jersey the Oilers wore there - not in the NHL. Low also wore #30 with Edmonton, not #28.

Great stuff and I bet it was so fun to open. Really liking the look of it, whether or not it's worth the price is another story.
