Just searching through ebay, I came across 2 different 05/06 Fleer Ultra hobby boxes and I am curious what's the difference?

There is this one which looks like the era correct one, but then there is also this one (2nd link) which, based on some reading I did, is a recent warehouse find of some sort? Just curious what every ones thoughts are and especially if the "recent warehouse find" sounds legit or not? Thanks.

Hobby and Retail boxes

Can you tell me more? I've never purchased any boxes in my life but was considering a "warehouse find" box.

I assume the chances of finding any Crosby or Ovi Ultra RC's is slim to none?

Are they more or less a way of suckering in uneducated hobbyists or are they as legit as anything else?

Hobby has the better odds for hits, plus they have the Gold and Ice Medallion parallels. Retail still guarantees a memorabilia card, but does not give any parallels and much lower odds on more notable GU/AU hits. The SP rookies of guys like Ovechkin, Crosby, Perry, etc., numbered 251-270 in the set fell approximately one per box in each retail and hobby. No guarantees to pull Crosby or Ovy, but 1 chance per box on average to pull one of those 20 top rookie cards (some of which have not held up well in value, others are booming).

Thanks guys. I did some research after Rvelligan told me the difference.
I watched a few box breaks and in only one vid did a guy pull a Ovi and Crosby but it took 3 boxes to get those 2. Many other vids of breakers getting none.
I'm not sure how others feel but my gut tells me $200-$225 CDN spent on a box is kind of pricey for a slim chance at landing an Ovi or Crosby.
Looking at the other RC's that were pulled, none of what I seen would come close to getting your money back.

Just reading the side of the boxes, they both show 7 rookies per box. I will assume some or all of the jersey cards or other inserts are not available in retail

If your plans are to make money back in the hobby, choose a different hobby. The odds of you pulling something that will earn your money back/make a profit are so small, it's not feasible. There are the two RC's you mentioned, their parallels, plus their GU/autos in the product that will earn your money back, while literally everything else will put you in the hole. Now, if you want to buy the boxes, and sit on them, then in a few years you will earn a decent profit as the supply dwindles even further and sell the box sealed.

Besides Crosby and Ovechkin (and maybe Lundqvist) that rookie class has not appreciated really much in value at all. Unfortunately.

I think there were short printed rcs in 05/06 ultra boxes so getting Crosby and Ovechkin out of 3 boxes seems like great luck to me, I would expect you might get one of each in a case.

This sounds vaguely familiar. Crosby, Ovechkin, Lundqvist, Perry, Getzlaf, Phaneuf, Brule, Carter, Richards...probably one or two I'm forgetting.

Here's the vid of the guy pulling both, and had a Crosby hit on the first pack out of the first box.

I appreciate your help guys.

Like I mentioned, I have never purchased a box before so I was real curious what the differences were, especially when I read in one sellers info, "recent warehouse find" which really had me confused about them.
