Sad day for boxing as Floyd Patterson has passed away at age 71. Although his career was long over before I can remember I have heard a lot about him. He will be missed by the boxing community. here more about Floyd Patterson from aol.com news

That's is really sad to here as I use to be a huge boxing fan until the recent bore of heavyweights.

Floyd was very much a gentleman among boxers. I remember going with my dad and brother to see him fight Sonny Liston in the early 60's, we watched at Maple Leaf Gardens on closed circuit feed. Unfortunately for Floyd the fight lasted less than a round with Liston scoring the KO. Condolences to the Patterson family.
