So, a little over 3 weeks to the most globally watched sporting tournament in South Africa.

32 teams in, whats your prediction for last 4?

Heres mine;

England
Spain
Brazil
Argentina

Going one step further;

Argentina to beat in England in one semi.
Spain to beat Brazil in the other semi.

Can we go further...?

July 11th - Spain to beat Argentina in the final.

I've got:

England
Netherlands
Germany
Spain

I just have a bad feeling about Dunga's squad selection, and the Dutch have to break through eventually. The Germans, well I'll never bet against the Germans to do well in a tournament, even without Ballack. And besides, Maradona is so bonkers that he'll probably end up holding Argentina back.

I'll take an England-Spain final and the Spanish as the champs.
 
The top two brackets are all I've looked at really.

The USA in the quarters, of course!

1C will match up with 2D, which I think will be Australia. We'll play them in a friendly beforehand, which is interesting... I don't think England wants to play them, no matter the circumstances.

I think 1C will get a peaking Mexican side in their path to the quarters as well.

2C will likely get Germany, Argentina, and the side in need of a karma whack, France.
 
Based on my twisted logic and love of an upset my last 4 look a little like this

South Korea
Algeria
Brazil
Ivory Coast

It may sound strange but it could happen Algeria are a very good side who could get past Argentina with the right strategy
